Alec R. Kleinman – Jewelry Designer

Showing an affinity for design from a young age, Alec endeavored to find a medium that best aligned with his desire to create. Beginning with fine art, his interests eventually settled on the field of architecture. Entranced by meticulous masonry and gravity-defying structures, he took several technical design courses, starting in high school. Drawing, painting and sculpting would remain hobbies, while his passion earned him certifications in various 3D-modeling programs and a scholarship to attend the New York Institute of Technology's B.Arch. program.

During that first year of study, he found that the industry as a whole did not allow for the creative freedom he desired. Alec decided it was best to take a break from education until he was sure of his academic route.

After a few years of working in luxury retail and struggling to find a suitable creative outlet, he came to recall the time he spent in his childhood making beaded jewelry with his grandmother. These memories reminded him of the joy he felt creating wearable art and inspired him to pursue a career in jewelry design.

From humble beginnings in Cranston, Rhode Island, Alec's passion for jewelry brought him to Manhattan's Diamond District. There, he studied under industry professionals at the GIA New York campus, earning a degree in Jewelry Design & Technology. After spending years creating beautiful pieces for other brands, including the likes of D. Gregory, Ashley Zhang and Tiffany & Co., he now offers his vision of fine jewelry to the world.
